This film, unlike any other of this legend, makes Washington an unwilling participant in his own story, one wrought with history and real life drama, and pulsating with sheer ghostly revenge and terror from the grave. The author experiences all the mystery and human conflict of his future story, and as a result is plagued by the nightmares of the horseman the remainder of his life.
